Congratulations to our Y7 Rounders team who represented the academy at the Mansfield Schools tournament on Tuesday. The team made some excellent fielding decisions to get the opposition out and scored sone great half and full rounders. Well done to all the players!

Some KS3 students took part in a fantastic tennis coaching session after school on Monday at Mansfield Lawn Tennis Club. It was great to see them further developing skills learned in their tennis lessons and to be able to use the excellent facilities at this local club! 🎾

Huge congratulations to our first Brunts swimathon team who took part in the Armchair Club Sports Foundation event at Water Meadows on Saturday. They raised a fantastic £430 to support local charities and even got to swim alongside Olympic Champion Rebecca Adlington!!

Extremely proud of our year 8 rugby boys yesterday playing in their first rugby competition of the season. The boys played 3 matches winning them all, scoring 24 try's in the process, but more impressively conceded only 1! Great integrity and teamwork show throughout.

The year 8 boys football team started thier town cup campaign last night beating Ashfield PE Fac 2-0, goals coming from Cohan and Reinis, with the latter picking up player of the match. Shout out to Rocco W (Y11) who officiated the match superbly. Well done to all The Brunts Academy

Congratulations to Kacey in Year 9 who flew to Malta last weekend to represent Derby County in the U15s KHS Cup the team did fantastic making it all the way to the final which they Narrowly lost on penalties. Everyone @Bruntsacademy are extremely proud!

Fantastic result last night for our Year 9 Rugby team Beating Portland PE 75-0 in the group stage of the county cup, Despite the score line both teams had fantastic attitudes and game was played in good spirits with both teams finding a new found respect for each other.

Extremely proud of the resilience shown by the Yr 7 rugby boys this week in the county qualifiers unfortunately we didn't make the finals as we were a little slow out the blocks in the first two games, but bounced back amazingly in the last two games to show what we can do!
