Homelessness is a national issue. As Chair of the U.S. Mayors Homelessness Task Force, the Mayor led nearly 50 bipartisan mayors to lobby the White House & Congress so that veterans don't have to choose between housing and benefits & for flexibility to build more housing.

We've called on the Governor Gavin Newsom & Legislature and they've delivered. Together, we're transforming the system to treat mental health and substance abuse, and protected a billion dollars for cities to house and serve people experiencing homelessness.

For too long, the City and County pointed fingers at each other. Now, we're partnering with the Los Angeles County Supervisors. Together, we declared emergencies, innovated encampment resolution & are tearing down barriers that block progress.

And we continue to join together with the 87 other cities in the county because homelessness is a REGIONAL problem that requires REGIONAL solutions.
