Last week, our Game Changers ran the girls football trials. It was fantastic to have the same number of girls and boys in Year 5 and 6 trying out for the football teams. Well done to everyone that took part; you made Miss Mainprize and Mrs Parker‘s decisions very difficult!

Our Year 5 and 6 boys’ football team had their first tournament of the year where they won 1 game, drew 1 game and lost 1 game. They showed great teamwork and really improved throughout. Well done boys! Tameside SSP

13 of our KS2 pupils took part in the second leg of the Cross Country Grand Prix yesterday! It was lovely to see some children representing school for the first time and we even had 3 pupils finish in the top 10. Well done everyone! Tameside SSP

Tonight, some of our year 5 and 6 pupils took part in a tag rugby tournament. Lots of tries were scored and there were some great defensive skills. Our A team came top of their group and will qualify for the final next week. Well done everyone! Tameside SSP

Our young ambassadors had their training today and have lots of ideas for how to promote sport and physical activity in our school. They also enjoyed meeting Andy Robertson and learning how he was a young ambassador when he was younger too! Tameside SSP
