All kids should have a place to call home. Yet in one of the richest countries in the world, 164,000 of them are stuck living in temporary accommodation. This week, government has a chance to change that by listening to KWAJO- Social Issues Campaigner – and building the social homes we need.

Surgical mesh has caused irreparable harm to thousands. For years, industry has tried to stop Sling the Mesh from talking about the life-changing injuries their products cause. This morning, Kath Sansom took some on Good Morning Britain so their millions of viewers could judge for themselves 👇

Londoners are twice as likely to be leaseholders. Since the election, Free Leaseholders has been fighting to ensure existing leaseholders aren't left behind. Thanks to their efforts London's housing committee has called on Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan to do the same ⤵️ standard.co.uk/news/london/sa…

There are 1.3 million households on the social housing waiting list. Investment is welcome – but without a proper target, we've got no idea how many social homes will be built. It's time the government answered KWAJO- Social Issues Campaigner's question: how many homes? bigissue.com/news/housing/s…

The crisis in maternity isn't about individual trusts. It's national. Last year, Delivering Better set out to secure that acknowledgement from Wes Streeting — now it's a reality. Their movement will keep pushing for the change that mums and midwives need.thetimes.com/uk/healthcare/…

1,600 mothers a day are giving birth in a maternity system that normalises harm. The national investigation is welcome – but there are immediate steps that government could take to prevent harm. Read Delivering Better founder Jo's piece for HuffPost 👇 huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/national…

Victims and witnesses of harassment and discrimination have been silenced for too long. This Labour government will stamp it out. Credit to Can't Buy My Silence and Louise Haigh for leading the charge. theguardian.com/law/2025/jul/0…

🚨 VICTORY: Abusive non-disclosure agreements are set to be outlawed. It has taken years of campaigning from Zelda Perkins and Can't Buy My Silence – but finally, workers will be protected from gagging clauses. This is a landmark moment for workplace rights. theguardian.com/law/2025/jul/0…

We finally know the human cost of govt foot-dragging on leasehold: 🚸 43% had family planning impacted 💰 68% struggling to sell their properties 🏠 73% of 18-34 year olds unable to upsize There's one answer: listen to Free Leaseholders and act quickly ⤵️ thetimes.com/life-style/pro…

Our democracy should not be pay-to-win. Last year, the UK voted for a manifesto that promised to bring an end to the feudal leasehold system. We're with Harry Scoffin and Free Leaseholders – it's vital that lawfare efforts by vested interests are defeated.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Labour had a choice on immigration: dignity or more state violence. Migrant communities, the labour movement, and businesses criticised their reforms. They ignored them. The result will be more human rights violations and deaths in transit. Regularise bigissue.com/opinion/migran…

Honoured to meet Zelda Perkins, whose powerful campaigning with Can't Buy My Silence has been vital in highlighting misuse of NDAs to silence workers. We're banning NDAs that prevent people from speaking out about harassment and discrimination. #CantBuyMySilence
