7 AM RADAR: Rain showers and thunderstorms continue to spread around the Kansas City viewing area. Not good news for all the parades and events this morning... KMBC

SATURDAY FORECAST: Soggy start to the day with showers and storms, but we gradually dry out by the evening. Highs reach the mid to upper 70s with sunshine increasing after the rain moves out. KMBC

Today is an Alert Day due to the concern for a few spotty strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening. Not everyone will see storms, but those that do could see large hail and strong wind gusts. KMBC

Perfect pool weather today! 🏊‍♀️ We could see a few clouds bubble up later this PM and a few might try to produce some rain. They will be short-lived and are common this time of the year when it is warm, sunny and humid. KMBC

Isolated to spotty showers will be possible throughout the day today. It won't be a washout, but I recommend keeping the umbrella handy as you head out and about. KMBC

4:30 AM RADAR UPDATE: Light rain showers are currently moving through parts of the Kansas City viewing area. Most of the rain is falling on the Missouri side, while the Kansas side is pretty dry. Drier conditions are expected the second half of the day! KMBC

Happy Friday! We'll see a mix of sun and clouds today with the best chance for rain remaining to the southeast of KC. Things turn hot and humid for Father's Day weekend with feels like temperatures in the 90s.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for parts of Missouri until 9 AM today. Be prepared for quick drops in visibility as you drive around this morning. KMBC
