Whether you're dressing in Lincoln Green, singing the Lincolnshire Poacher or commemorating the Lincolnshire Rising....today is Lincolnshire Day....so here are four of the county's Blue Plaques.

Do you miss Top of the Pops? Keen to watch major artists on Thursdays at 7.00? Maybe with bit of chat? The odd Pop Quiz question? Some classic videos? A Heritage Chart rundown. And help your favourite artists whose income has been decimated? "That Was Then..This Is Now" is coming

Most days I work with the latest technology. When I was in Jamaica it was back to basics. Vinyl discs, Noel Coward's old auto-change record player & his album collection. All still there at his home. 'Firefly' 1,000 feet up over the Caribbean. Simply marvellous dear boy.

October has been a hectic month for us so apologies for not commemorating the two counties that had their 'County Day' during this month. First Oxfordshire on the 19th....a county with a wealth of blue plaques.

Santa tells me that his elves have four of my books, on their shelves, that he says (his words, not mine) are ideal Christmas stocking fillers. I'm simply passing his message on as a favour.

Enjoying spotting the anachronistic musical allusions in Jeeves & the Leap of Faith Ben Schott (three so far) It's like spotting the mouse that Terence Cuneo used to hide on stamps.

So sad to hear about Eric St. John Foti. One of the people who changed and shaped my life with his drive, philosophy, charm, keen interest in others, incisive intellect and ready wit. He will be much missed but he left an amazing legacy of which I am proud to be a small part.

It was a hundred years ago, in 1921, the most common blue plaque design was revised, as it was discovered that glazed Royal Doulton stoneware was cheaper than the encaustic formerly used. In 1925 seven were erected with the new design, including one commemorating #Canaletto.

In Chaucer's 1381/2 poem “Parliament of Foules,” he wrote ““For this was on seynt Volantynye's day / Whan euery bryd comyth there to chese his make." OK there's a paucity of Chaucery stuff in my Valentine's Day 3-5 Nation Radio UK but I have songs & more Tales than Canterbury.
