This Memorial Day Weekend Bristol CT Police Interim Chief Mark Morello got to meet Joseph Caminiti, an Iwo Jima veteran who served our nation in the US Marine Corps. Joseph will be turning 100 this October. Thank you for your service Joseph!

Members of the Bristol CT Police paid their respects today to BPD Officer James Williams Burns at St. Joseph's Cemetery. On May 29th, 1941, Officer Burns was killed while responding to a Domestic Disturbance. He was 47 years old and had served our city for 20 years.

Bristol police patrol division were called to 35 Wooding Street this afternoon. A barricade situation ensued and our tactical team responded and ultimately took 1 person into custody without incident. We ask for the public to avoid the area while we complete our investigation.

A serious traffic crash is being investigated at the intersection of Middle St and Pine St. Please avoid the area for the next several hours as our reconstruction team investigates. More info will be released as it becomes available.
