Some of our crew at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst - 7 have now headed off to the Army as young officers, others to Adventurous Training ready for coming back in Jan. Exciting and fulfilling times - and I'd do it all again at the drop if a hat (I can explain why the CO hasn't got his...).

We do many things just perfectly in the Army - this was one of them. Inspiring soldier and she absolutely deserved this send off.

I was examining why we join the Reserves and recalled a quotation from a study I was part of (the FRRP) which said we were after 'intensity'. This is not the same as putting the 'fun' back into trg - though this is intense, but doing it bloody well and making all trg time count.

We had an excellent Staff Trg WE on board and were well supported by the on-land part of the naval base. She was well run and functioned as we wanted. A shame, as it must be a great experience for Sea Cadets - it was for us!
