Early in the judging lineup today but got another blue ribbon at San Angelo. The AG mechanics kids have to know how to weld and build stuff but also have some presentation skills to present it to the judges.

It's official! We have a VIN and a valid license plate! Proud of all the work these kids put in, not an easy process to turn a pile of steel into something the state recognizes as a brand new vehicle.

Overnight runs to San Antonio are the best way to go to AG Mechanics shows. Arrive at 5:40am, unloaded by 10, just in time to catch an Allen FFA member show his steer.

"Academically prepared for future pursuits". This Applied AG Engineering career development contest fits right into our graduate profile. Students competed today by welding, cutting, preparing a layout, and taking a knowledge exam over welding and cutting processes.

Special thanks to our Allen STEAM Center center for help 3D printing this trailer frame model so the FFA students could show the judges the structural parts of the trailer without crawling under it! And to our AHS print shop students for enlarging these blue prints! Thank you both!

Allen Farm & Agribusiness Management swept another contest tonight. A few more events this week and then off to Area and hopefully state.

Allen FFA's AG Sales team is state bound! Got the news today that they picked up a wildcard qualification spot and will compete at the state contest at the end of the month in Huntsville.

Allen FFA's last day at Area. Qualified 2 more teams for state competition. In total 5 teams qualified this year. AG Sales, Horse, Livestock, Vet, and Farm Business! State competition starts on Saturday! Best of luck to everyone!

3rd Place at State! Farm Business Management competed against teams from all over the state today at Sam Houston State University.

Allen FFA students participated in the Sustainable Agriculture CDE hosted by Texas A&M Commerce. 4 of our students placed in the top ten. It was a great day piloting a new career development event with the TAMUC AG Science Sustainable AG graduate students.

Allen FFA students are in Houston for the FFA convention today. Got to do a little post hurricane soils evaluation on the sea wall!

Allen FFA's FIRST EVER quiz bowl team competed at the state FFA convention today. Did not advance into the final rounds but had a LOT of fun with a game show style contest over EVERYTHING in the Principles of Agriculture textbook.

Happy Homecoming Week! AHS Clubs and Organizations made the ribbons and our Floral Design students made the mum!

Allen FFA went to the district 4 meeting last night with 14 students and had lots of fun meeting others and learning.
