I don't want someone to 'fight' for my vote. I simply want our politics and election process to be honest, caring, and genuinely concerned with the things which impact the planet, humanity, and community.

A day once full of such love, laughter, and music. And remembered lovingly every year since. This day will always be our special day.

As an older person returning to education, I realise how much stuff in organisations is peddled as if it's 'the one way' with no reference to origins, assumptions, alternatives. Key for learning is to encourage curiosity, asking questions, & nurturing eclectic open-mindedness.

I know what it takes to pause, be ready to listen, understand more of what you're feeling. So much gets in the way of that seemingly simple moment, & that gets in the way of so much. If I/we could only pause there, in between, in the gaps & silences, where the work lies.

Second guessing how other people are feeling really is a very poor substitute for being prepared to ask openly, leave space for their responses, and truly listen. Yet it's strange how often it happens.

Reflections on what
passes in a moment stays
still silently goes.

Those moments when each of us is hearing something different from the unfolding conversation. Those slippery, dodgy, dicey moments where feelings stirred hold unspoken fears, annoyances, and so much rich potential too. If only we could pause, understand what's really going on...

When no words are needed

We can read & digest the 'same' ideas & theories. We can't then just presume to apply them to another person, or group of people we've labelled as such, without taking account of context, starting-points, lived experiences, perceptions of power, & our own intentions in all of it.
