📸Highlights from the #HudumaFellowship2024 Workshop II. Fellows interrogated Africa's challenges in the quest for prosperity and economic transformation in the current global financial architecture. We are grateful to Bright A for facilitating this workshop!

#HudumaFellows also held intimate conversations about work and life. They harnessed the depth of knowledge and diversity of professional expertise among themselves to discuss solutions to work-related challenges, build high-impact businesses, and live fulfilled lives.

"National systems are crafted through regulations and laws, but the nature of these legal frameworks is determined by the outcomes of political and economic struggles. In Uganda, the way our political economy is structured directly impacts how citizens engage with one another."

#Ideas from the #HudumaFellowship2024 Workshop II. III: Values-based leadership: In the Name of Konrad Adenauer. Konrad teaches us that sometimes leadership is not about doing what the majority wants but having the discernment to make hard values-based decisions for the better.

"Politics is not activism. It is a continuous, often gradual process that involves addressing a broad range of issues within a larger, complex societal framework. In contrast, activism is typically focused on specific causes or issues and seeks immediate change."

#Ideas from the #HudumaFellowship2024 Workshop II V: On African Foreign Policy Africa's challenge is not poverty per se but underdevelopment—the lack of sufficient infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities necessary for sustainable growth and prosperity.

"Uganda's foreign policy is shaped by its domestic interests. We should make strategic alliances with our neighbors to achieve regional integration and expand our market. We should also pursue resource-based industrialization to satisfy our growing external markets."
