As national #VolunteersWeek week come to a conclusion some pictorial reflections of volunteering for the Commonwealth War Graves. A very interesting, rewarding and worthwhile organisation to volunteer for.

On 23 June 1929: artist Barbara Remington is born. Remington is perhaps best known for her US paperback covers of The Lord of the Rings; although somewhat controversial, many readers love them. What do you think you? #Tolkien #lotr

I know I should show a clip from Bullitt, Dirty Harry or Enter The Dragon here to pay tribute to one of the all-time great film and TV composers - Lalo Schifrin, who has died today aged 93 - but this original Starsky & Hutch intro still absolutely rocks
