Today in 1977, Dennis Wilson released Pacific Ocean Blue. The album was warmly received by critics, and outsold Beach Boys’ contemporary efforts. The album is now widely regarded as a a classic and has appeared on many critics best-of lists. What’s your favorite track?

Today in 1967, “Gettin’ Hungry” was released as a single, credited to Brian Wilson and Mike Love. Recorded at Brian’s Bellagio home studio, it was the follow up to “Heroes and Villains.” It later appeared on the Beach Boy’s Smiley Smile album, released September 18 of that year.
