Still a work in progress, but here is my draft of the Crescent Nebula. Processing this particular object has its own unique challenges which are helping me develop my post-processing skills. #astrophotography #astronomy

I am going to call this my final edit for my HOO Crescent Nebula. Taken with my Askar 65PHQ, ZWO's ASI2600MM, and Chroma 3nm Ha and OIII filters. A total of 11 hours of integration time over 3 nights. #astrophotography #astronomy

A nice prominence eruption was observed on Thursday morning off the west limb beginning around 07:00 UTC (July 3). This resulted in a fairly bright coronal mass ejection (CME) that is directed to the west and away from Earth.

The ISS this evening, hand-guided with the big scope. What’s interesting is the station appears to be flying in reverse, or at least 180 degrees to the norm. The dragons appear to be on the aft side? Didn’t see any announcement of this, unless I’m totally mistaken.
