The ⁦Birmingham Dispatch⁩ doing the Brummie lord’s work as always. Fascinating real time demonstration that the fantastic local Birmingham paper was ultimately born from a Manc success. Makes you think. This is an essential read for West Midlands Combined Authority⁩ birminghamdispatch.co.uk/manchesters-ec…

Personally I'd like to say a huge thanks to people like Central BID Birmingham Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery jezc BirminghamMusicArch Southside District Birmingham & all the places like Scruffy's who've stepped up and made Sabbath Weekend as bouncing as it is. Never forget it's passionate grassroots Brummies driving this 🦇

Bring it on Birmingham Music weekend! Hope everyone has fun today. Goodbye Black Sabbath & ELO! I will be at the other end of the scale at CoCoMad in Cotteridge park! Weekends like this only come round so often - but maybe we should make city centre festivals annual? 🤘🦇

One thing the Sabbath concert has shown us is that Brum needs a bigger stadium. Will be great for gigs when Blues get theirs built - we have the demand!

Ok, comment: post HS2 + Camp Hill Chords we can divert intercity services to Moor/Curzon Street and run tube-level frequency services on every line through New Street. We have a ready made S-Bahn. We just need to enable it, shout about it & stop talking about ‘42 mins to London’.

Imagine a city with a small street featuring: - The UK's first Rep Theatre - The UK's oldest working cinema - The birthplace of Black Sabbath & linked to 20 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Then letting it be run down or demolished by developers. You'd be furious at the stupidity, right?
