On my 3rd spin of this. Rolling Stone lists it as the 3rd greatest album of all time, so it requires consideration. Like most albums heard for the first time, many spins are needed to appreciate it fully. Her voice is what I imagine a hummingbird would sing. Just beautiful.

Reading Joe Posnanski's awesome book, Why We Love Baseball. Learned about Hal Smith from the 1960 World Series-winning Pirates. What a great story. Look it up or buy the book (p. 288-291). Highly recommend it.

Did you know that we have yet to see a World Series Game 7 won on a walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth with the home team losing? Imagine if it were a home run?! That's the ultimate, ULTIMATE backyard childhood baseball dream. I hope I get to see it one day.

Had lunch today with an undergraduate and graduate student of mine, who passed their first part of the CPA exam (the audit section, no less). One of the joys of teaching is sharing in the awesomeness that is their success. Highly recommend!
