most of my life has been spent constantly trying to please everyone else and feeling spread too thin and overwhelmed. learning to not feel guilty for choosing myself anymore.

had my first surgery today and all I remember about the OR was the anesthesiologist telling me that the medicine might burn and I mumbled “propofollllll” as I passed out 😂😴

thankful for all the growth and learning that came with holding these positions over the years and more humbled than ever to hold the newest one. started from the bottom 🥹👨🏻‍⚕️

My first rotation is in the ED and not gonna lie it’s been soooo difficult but thank goodness for all the kind nurses who have been patient with me, taught me, and nudged me in the right direction with gentle suggestions 🫶🏼

Severely underestimated how isolating starting residency would feel. Moving across the country from my friends, family and everything I know, plus the insane pressure of residency is a lot.

10/10 would recommend doing residency on the coast. 8 months of intern year down! 🤍
