The Cristo Rey Network Network’s name comes from the final words of the Jesuit Martyr from Mexico, Blessed Miguel Pro who was killed on Nov. 23, 1927, almost 100 years ago in the aftermath of the Mexican revolution (1910-20) when Christians were persecuted. “Viva Cristo Rey!” Cf below.
