Starting a new game is so weird. I spent the last 17 years in a custom engine learning all its quirks and oddities. Today's off-the-shelf tools are amazingly powerful, but have an entirely new set of quirks and oddities to learn. 😜

This is weird to say out loud, but I actually am kinda an expert in rate limiting, so I'm gonna explain some stuff. About half of incidents in large-scale production systems involve having more requests than you can serve. There are two categories of this kind of incident:

I get interrupted a lot by kids while working-from-home. I just found code I hadn't checked in... I figured I should clean it up before checking it in... But I found that the cleanup was already done! I just don't remember doing it.... Thanks, Friendly-Coding-Ghost! 🙂

My youngest child just went outside onto the sidewalk and started screeching like a pterodactyl. Then he screeched, “CAN ANYBODY HEAR ME?” We replied, “YES, WE ALL CAN!” He said, “CAN ANYBODY NOT MY FAMILY HEAR ME?” 🙄
