Kicking off The Supportive Housing Network of NY’s 22nd Annual #SupportiveHousing conference, and getting set for a day of inspiration, learning, and comeraderie with amazing tenant advocate Helen Taylor from The Fortune Society, the brilliant Sheena Wright, and the luminous Arielle Estoria.

2K members of the #supportivehousing community registered for #NetConference2024! We kicked off our morning w/ tenant advocate Helen Taylor of The Fortune Society, “I left my beautiful #supportivehousing apt to be here today,” and grounded ourselves with keynote by Arielle Estoria.

The demand for safe, affordable housing is an issue my district knows all too well, and it’s an issue that I’ve made a pillar of my tenure in the New York City Council. Since taking office, the 17th District has created substantially more affordable housing than any other district in NYC

I was proud to stand w/Mayor Eric Adams as we announced NYC had produced the most new affordable housing, housing for formerly homeless NYers & permanent supportive housing EVER in FY24. The hard work doesn’t stop & we must continue to ensure that ALL parts of NYC are doing their part!

The Network's statement in response to the Mayor Eric Adams's announcement today of significant progress in developing #supportivehousing and combatting homelessness:

"We are thrilled to celebrate a great milestone for NYC: an historic # of #supportivehousing apartments, 2,100+, the most on-record in a single year produced for our City's most vulnerable," Network Board Chair/Breaking Ground CEO at today's @nycmayor's housing production announcement

"It’s time for every neighborhood to contribute to the solution and embrace the growth & diversity that new housing brings." Read Brenda Rosen of Breaking Ground on #CityOfYes for Housing Opportunity, and why we need a citywide plan to tackle our housing crisis in an equitable way!
