You can’t manufacture hunger or a competitive nature. You have to want it & create it in yourself. It’s not your coach’s responsibility to get you to compete & play hard. Giving 100% is completely your choice. Don’t wait for someone else to push you into it. Choose to compete!

Athletes: If you do everything your coach assigns this summer you'll have a great fall. You don't need extra workouts, secret training, or an outside strength coach. But you do need to be consistent. It's a simple recipe for success, but it won't be easy. Let's go!

If this tweet gets 200 likes I’ll run 9 miles around a baseball diamond. 360 feet for one lap. 5280 feet in a mile. 5280/360 is 14.7 laps. 14.7x9. THATS 132.3 LAPS! Let’s make it happen... I might regret this.

It will always be tough. Greatness doesn’t allow you to take days off & it doesn’t care how you feel. Greatness isn’t sexy. It isn’t pretty. It’s relentless, dirty, hard work. It’s a tedious climb to the top. Greatness is a very slow process, but quitting will never speed it up!

Any path to success is hard. It’s supposed to be, but you can make yours much easier by surrounding yourself with those who want to be great & will work to get there. Get a circle of people who have the same drive as you whether on the court or in life. The best create the best!

Much respect for Jake Wightman! Huge race in that final stretch. What stood out to me is that Jakob was clearly not happy about a 2nd place finish. His next race is going to be elite!

Here we go. It’s finally time for the Ironman! If you would like to follow my race and check in to see how I’m doing you can download the IRONMAN TRACKER APP, select Ohio 70.3 as the race and search my name in the participants list. Huge goals ahead.
