Unless they plan to use high speed ferries off the bat, I can’t see this being feasible. It would just take too long and depending on sea conditions, could affect the players’ health.

There's been a lot of talk this week about the US DOT requiring airlines to refund passengers if their flights are 'significantly delayed.' And that's true. But *only* if the traveler decides to not take the trip as a result. You can't get both.
