My awesome colleagues in the Koelle Lab just wrote up a paper on SARS-CoV-2 vaccination modelling that you probably want to read! Nice work Molly Gallagher, PhD and @ajsieben

In a new study, we find during lockdown US office workers averaged only 2 social contacts/day. These were mainly at home and repeated over multiple days. Important for understanding the impact of social distancing and return to work as we enter another surge of the pandemic.

This program looks amazing and anyone interested in doing a post-bac before applying to graduate school in biological sciences should take a look

Super excited to share this work co-authored with an amazing Emory University undergraduate, Julie Zhu. Thank you to @tcfriedrich and Katarina Braun, MD, PhD for helping us track down the data so we could fit our model.

Thank you to my advisors Koelle Lab & Daniel Weissman for helping me submit this work. Both of my new manuscripts hinge on coinfection relaxing selection on mutations. Here we focus on how heterogeneity in viral output from host cells contributes to deleterious mutation accumulation.

What paper changed your life? Is there one that captured your attention because of the elegant design, perfect illustration of a concept, or surprising result? I want to know :)

I’m delighted that our paper on the Multicellularity Long Term Evolution Experiment (MuLTEE) has, at long last, been published. This paper establishes the foundations of what I’d like to work on for the rest of my career. 1/25 Free, full access link: rdcu.be/dbPA9

Can't overstate how excited I am to have this platform up and running. We're hoping it'll open the door to wider open sharing and attribution of wildlife disease data -- and ultimately a whole new genre of analyses. Have a look and, if you have data, consider contributing!
