You don't fight fire with fire. You fight fire with water. Hate is overcome by love, evil by good. Christ's humility won over his enemies preening pride. This is an angry world. The Christ-like response is a constant tender kindness.

This week's free portion of my book on teaching Sunday School is the introduction of the philosophical section, Teaching as Craft. You can find it on my blog where it will remain until the entire book is published: concerningjesus.blogspot.com/2025/09/teachi…

The speaker doesn't bring the message any more than the audio speaker on the wall brings the message. They both are just delivery systems. Don't focus on the delivery system; focus on the message.

5) If you're interested, Brandon Vaughan and I wrote an evangelistic book to Mormons. A PhD grad of BYU read it and said that it was the first "anti-Mormon" book he's read that didn't strawman his church, and where it seemed like we cared about him. a.co/d/dWjAFSZ 👇

I have a great respect for orthodoxy, but my reverence for inspiration is far greater. I would sooner a hundred times over appear to be inconsistent with myself then be inconsistent with the word of God. I never thought it to be any very great crime to seem to be inconsistent

It isn't wrong to research, or attempt to trace the historical or literary development of a particular scriptural text family. It is wrong to assume without doing this we cannot establish the inspiration, inerrancy, and authority of the Word of God. We can. In fact, the Bible

The local church is the instrument of God's preservation of His Word. Not Logos. Not Zondervan. Not Dallas Theological Seminary. Not some comittee of scholars somewhere. Not some self-appointed expert. But to His churches. It shouldn't be them telling churches what is and isn't

Thomas Overmiller Josh Barzon Through this whole interaction over the last few days you keep coming back to the KJV issue. Not my point. I'm trying to assert clear, doctrinal positions of bibliology that I think are slipping. Why do you all (speaking generically) have to keep making it about fine details
