Kids do not have to go back to unsafe schools, Betsy Devos. Where do your precious children/grandchildren attend? Private school? Guidelines suggest schools leave windows open. Are you aware there are schools in this country with no windows? Any other ideas?

Using stories such as Goldilocks and the 3 Bears should be used to teach critical thinking. Was it right for Goldilocks to go into someone else’s house without permission? Is it OK for people to come into your home and eat your food? What are consequences for such behavior?

Locking a child out of class COVID or not, is cruel, especially a child diagnosed with autism. I had a supt. who told us if we couldn't educate with empathy, dignity and care, we should get a job at a dry cleaners where shirts don't care how you treat them. Take his advice!

Today would have been George Floyd’s 47th birthday. He should still be alive today celebrating another year with his family and friends. We need justice and to ensure that this never happens again—starting with banning chokeholds and creating a national standard for use of force.
