I’m guilty of this. A lot of people are, but I appreciate this sentiment.

I’m 8 seasons into Always Sunny and the eventual reveal of Mac being gay still doesn’t make sense. Any examples set up prior to this are just him with a trans woman (clearly played by a non trans actress). If anything it’s “offensive.” They shot themselves in the foot with that.

Once a year or so I’ll remember that there never was a sub genre of trashy Italian pirate movies in the 70’s, and I get sad. The universe fucked up there.

This guy frightens me

I don’t fully understand the weird reactive hatred toward biopics. Walk Hard didn’t discredit anything. People only respond this way to music biopics specifically, as if artist’s names become just IP like “slop.” We’ve been making them since forever, they’re not a unique trend.

I like that he’s been updated on mid to late 2010’s discourse, that we’ve all essentially moved past. Hearing “cultural appropriation” now is like someone saying “phat” to mean cool.
