Photo of Owen Sound Platers defenceman Shawn Krueger, taken before the 1991-92 season. In 3 seasons with the Platers (1990-1993), Krueger scored 1 goal and recorded 18 assists for 19 points in 111 games, while also collecting 197 PIMs.

Jett Morningstar of Sarnia Legionnaires has won the Frank Santarossa Scholarship Award for players with outstanding academic achievements while playing in the GOJHL. Morningstar is enrolled in the Criminal Justice & Public Policy program at the University of Guelph.

September 17th, 2023 we honoured our teammate Tyson Downs who passed away July 23rd, 2023. Joined by his Mother, Father and Brother we raised his jersey above our arena retiring his number #66 in the rafters so he can always be with us. #TD66 #PlayForTyson @GOJHL

Although the game didn’t turn out like we wanted it to today’s game was about more then the final score. The Northstars would like to thank everyone who came out and showed love to our team, the Downs family and most importantly Tyson Downs as we remembered his life and legacy.
