#LakesWhisky #ItsDramTime WM2 N: This definitely appears an old dram, with a more 'dusty' profile - leather, earthy, soft spice, dried fruit and treacle. Quite a difference from the red fruit & citrus WM1

#LakesWhisky #ItsDramTime WM2 P: Oh I like this - spikey alcohol neat again, but lovely rich brown sugar, vanilla and date note initially. Gets fruitier in the mouth, orange and a hint of strawberry but then turns dry; spicy, tobacco and leathery. Long dry finish.

#LakesWhisky #ItsDramTime One Port N: Slightly odd nose, but it's also very subtle so maybe needs some more time. Slighly rubbery, a whiff of smoke though now getting some sweet red fruit and cream

#LakesWhisky #ItsDramTime One Port P: Much more fruit-driven than the nose would suggest, the port finish is working well with a sticky sweet note initially, just a hint of earthy smoke then a surprisingly short clean finish. It's good, but strangely tastes weaker than it's ABV?

#LakesWhisky #ItsDramTime For me it's the WM2, Signature & WM1 (tied), One Port in that order. The WM2 is a lovely balance whisky and that dusty, dried leather profile is right up my street. Signature is completely different but as a regular dramming blend it's a good 'un!

#itsdramtime 12 N: pencil shavings and rhubarb & custard sweets for me

#itsdramtime 12 P: it's more robust than expected from the nose, whiff of smoke, a little waxy, dried ginger, baked apples - lots going on!

#itsdramtime 16 N: I like this - much more citrus driven on the nose for me, but still a solid sweet shop - sherbert lemons? sharp apple and raisin and just a hint of burnt sugar

#itsdramtime 20 N: I'm getting unlit cuban cigar on the nose - fresh tobacco, slightly wooded. Suspect it needs a lot longer to open up

#itsdramtime 40 N: you can feel this getting richer as it opens up - dried herbs, fresh tobacco, dried ginger. Slightly floral, some apple, lemon rind - so much going on

#itsdramtime 40 P: Wow - proper punch of old leathery smoke. Raisins in silky honey and some cloves and black pepper. This is great
