We were delighted to win First Prize in the Asociatia Ars Ventus Bucharest International Music Competition earlier this month. 🎺 🍾 🎉 Our musicians are drawn from Royal Scottish National Orchestra BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Scottish Opera, and we’re looking forward to performing for you in person as soon as we can! 🎼 🎶 🎵
Wow, stunningly beautiful performance by Lomond Brass here of some Raphaela Aleotta arranged for brass quintet (and available to purchase on Resonata Music if you’re so inclined resonatamusic.com/?product=rapha…) 🎺
We’ve recently recorded some short pieces for this year’s Scottish Concert Band Festival. Hope you enjoy this clip of Suite Impromptu by André Lafosse, thanks to Christopher Gough for stepping in and Nigel Durno for recording us. More over the next few days!
Some rehearsal footage, this time some Werner Pirchner featuring some pretty fiendish trumpet and ensemble writing. Thanks again to Christopher Gough for stepping in on horn.
Maria from Bernstein’s West Side Story, beautifully arranged by Jack Gale. Recorded at the Royal Scottish National Orchestra centre for the Scottish Concert Band Festival, with beautiful solos by Christopher Gough, thanks for stepping in! More to come from this suite...
We were absolutely delighted to be involved in The Cumnock Tryst last night, our first concert to a live audience since the group’s formation in June last year. The audience were very receptive, thank you for having us!
We’re really looking forward to performing for Music in the University on 28th October. Programme to include music by Mozart, Bernstein, Macmillan, Aleotta and Pirchner and more!
