We have a question for our organoid community: What do you consider a biological replicate in your experiments? A) Organoids from different hiPSC lines B) Organoids from the same hiPSC lines and the same batch C) Organoids from the same line but different batches D) Other

Our inaugural Emory Brain Organoid Hub Workshop is underway! We have 10 participants visiting us from as far away as Japan and Australia.🌏 This immersive, hands on workshop is focused on iPSC-derived organoid cultures. What would you want to learn? 🧠

Day 2 of the Emory Brain Organoid Hub workshop was super exciting--participants aggregated iPSCs to form embryoid bodies, recorded MEA experiments, and stained their first neuroepithelial rosettes!!! Today we're immunopanning and blowing out the embryoid bodies.

On Day 3 of the workshop we learned about iPSC/organoid QC, assembloids, transcriptomics and genomics! In the lab, we dislodged D0 embryoid bodies and immunopanned for neurons and astrocytes from D200 cortical organoids!

It was so fun to see these talented scientists work hard to master iPSC/organoid techniques in record time! We are so proud of our first workshop cohort and can't wait to see how they incorporate organoids into their science. Sincerest thank you from all of us. 🫶
