Shelly Stouffer has advanced to this afternoon’s semifinals at the US Senior Women’s Amateur in Virginia. She beat Australia’s Nadene Gole 1-up in their quarterfinal match this morning. Gole defeated Stouffer in last year’s championship match at Broadmoor GC in Seattle.

What a performance by 16-year-old Anna Huang of Vancouver. She birdied her final hole to win the La Sella Open in Spain on the Ladies European Tour by seven shots with a 72-hole score of 20-under par.

Anna earned $150,000 Euros (about $242,000 Cdn) for the win and moved up 28 spots to 22nd on LET Order of Merit.
