This is absolutely terrifying. Reform say they would impose a Police State in the UK. They want to abolish the police’s operational independence and take direct control. Governments only ever take direct control of the police so they can use them to target their opponents.

This is another sign, just like the European Super League’s collapse, that sometimes, fan/player protest and the voices of the many actually do make a difference. It’s so easy to assume individual fans no longer matter but occasionally, the needle can be moved. Fantastic.
