Severe to extreme geomagnetic storming is possible again later today...

Nothing like last night so far but there are some cool ripples/flashes and the odd pillar going on right now. Gonna check again once the moon goes down, but I do love the colours in this one. #aurora

For those who have been asking me about times for aurora in NB tonight etc, current predictions are showing SOME visibility in the next hour, but perhaps another big peak closer to dawn. Again, these are predictions. Don’t shoot the messenger!

Ok, so this is right now (5:45pm) and for context, I usually get great aurora photos when the number I’ve circled is 3 or 4%.

At the special request of Anthony Brayall - VE9TB 🖖… get a load of that monstrous sun spot!

FYI: Aurora predictions for tonight are very high + we have a favourable moon phase / cloud forecast + it’s Friday. If you’ve been wanting to see the lights for yourself, tonight **could** be the night.

Brad Perry I cut off the photos to use just the date part. It's great! Can scribble little notes in each box. Have you considered doing these calenders you invented with just the white boxes and no photos? Or don't put any numbers in the boxes and then can use the boxes for anything!

If anyone has (and is still using) one of my calendars on their wall, this month’s photo was the happiest moment in all of 2023 for me.
