Ms. Sorial's ninth grade class had the opportunity to learn how to write a play over a ten-week course. They practiced drafting and writing, collaborating to create a successful play, and then they presented their plays for their peers! BayonneBOE


Congratulations to Princess-Awa Diakhite, recipient of the 2023 Ava Finnerty Student Voice Award. The award is given to a student whose essay embodies what it means to be a National English Honor Society member and was presented at the Induction Ceremony on Jan. 25th. BayonneBOE


Mrs. Russell's 10th grade students researched authors and worked together to create an original door display for the Black History Month Door Decorating Contest at BHS. BayonneBOE


BEA President Gene Woods & F.A.S.T Chairperson Stefanie Woods hosted an educational program for BHS Juniors. Emily Cubilete, former graduate & FBI contractor, was the key speaker. All Juniors received goodie bags with a personal copy of Just Mercy. BayonneBOE


Ms. Sorial's Creative Writing class wrote their own Autobiographical books, and celebrated their published hard work with Dr. Brown and Ms. Ruane! BayonneBOE


Students explored high and low moments in their lives to complete autobiographical children's books. These books are inspired by Penguin Random House's "Who Was..." Series. Pictured: Dr. Degnan, Ms. Ruane, and Ms. Sorial with some of the published scholars. BayonneBOE

Bayonne High School students were honored as recipients of the 2023 Hudson County Law Day Essay, Poetry, and Arts Contest on May 1st at the Justice William J. Brennan Jr. Courthouse in Jersey City. Congratulations to all award winners! BayonneBOE
