Evanston’s Living History is a documentary of racism in a town just north of Chicago. The filmmaker, Craig Dudnick, was inspired by the life of Viola Hillsman, the African American cook at Dudnick’s college fraternity. A discussion with the film maker follows the screening.

Dolores Howard and Gwen Lewis bring another engaging art appreciation event to the library! See the documentary, I Know a Man...Ashley Bryan, and learn the story of a beloved 95-year-old artist/poet who has created award-winning children's books filled with a spiritual wonder.
