Bowel cancer is the 4th most common cancer in the UK, accounting for 11% of all new cancer cases and affecting around 42,000 people each year. Make sure you know the symptoms and contact your GP if you have any concerns.

Everyone aged 60 to 74 who is registered with a GP and lives in England is automatically sent a bowel cancer screening kit every 2 years. For further information on screening you can visit nhs.uk/conditions/bow… or call 0800 707 60 60.

Although bowel cancer is the 4th most common cancer in the UK, it is the 2nd biggest killer (lung cancer being the 1st). If it's detected early enough, treatment can cure bowel cancer and stop it coming back. #takethetest #screeningsaveslives
