My favorite late fall through winter jerkbait is the Lucky Craft Bevy Shad. This small and compact bait has an excellent darting left to right motion when popping the rod and suspends perfectly on the pause. Fish it slow during the winter with long pauses to trigger strikes.

Bird butt photos are typically frowned upon but this one is an exception to the rule. Osprey takes a fish and a Blue Crab for a ride. How did this end? I don’t know but I watched the spectacle until the Osprey was out of sight. The crab never let go.
