At 6:10 pm today the Boston Safety Advisory Group announced that it has withdrawn support for the Boston Marathon events on 13th September. They are now cancelled with immediate effect. Refunds and complimentary TShirts will be arranged in a day or two.

An email has been sent to all participants of the cancelled September events with instruction of how to make a choice to either cancel or defer.

The Full Marathon is now FULL and a waiting list open. If a place opens it triggers an email to the 1st in the queue and gives them 48 hours to enter, input details and pay after that time it offers the next in the queue.

We remain prepared to run the Boston 'Mayflower 400' Marathon, on 18th April. Should the pandemic thwart our plans our planning will be to identify a date as early as possible after April - May/June/July, rather than waiting to the autumn when the cycle could start again.

Following the Government's roadmap announcement yesterday we are seeking clarification from Run Britain and our local MP. A committee meeting is planned for tomorrow at 2.30pm. As soon as we have more information we will update you.

Currently 77 places remain in the full and 1 in the half. Once max numbers are reached a waiting list will operate. When spaces become available we will contact the next in line. We have daily cancellations so don't despair there may be a chance you will get a place.
