Yesterday we went to Muiravonside Country Park. J points to a sign and asks “what does that say?” M-if it has horn that means it’s a boy. A-I want to see the huge horse.

Another day, another adventure, at Beecraigs today. We had fun in the park and explored some of the woodland area. M-this is where the Gruffalo lives. F-look, this is where the mouse lives, that’s its door. I-is the Gruffalo real? C-I want to see this den.

Yesterday we went to dollar park. We fed the fish and found a fairy garden. We also played on the pirate ship at the park. A-the spinning mushroom is my favourite. J-watch out Hannah. F and M found “huge pine cones”

We were so happy to welcome back our children in the Under’s room 😀 And to finish off our first week back ‘O’ chose to celebrate his birthday at the park with his friends! Happy birthday!

Our new little learners are loving exploring their new surroundings and our returning children are being good role models and friends

Always lovely to get a visit from our families once they have left to go to school. But it was an especially lovely surprise when M brought us flowers too! 😍

J was in the garden using garden objects to saw “this is what my daddy does” We saw this as an opportunity to introduce the wood work bench to the room. The children are using their fine motor and hand eye coordination skills as well as following and listening to instructions🛠️

We have watched our Under’s challenge themselves and gain new skills whilst exploring obstacle courses and parks. They have been busy jumping, climbing, balancing and using their problem solving skills to successfully complete tasks. Early risk taking has been observed.
