Impromptu volunteer session yesterday with Carol. A few productive hours in Oxford Gardens. We've started edging the path towards Oxford Road. Such a satisfying feeling when you roll back a good 10 inches of grass. 😆 also half a sack filled with litter.

17 volunteers today for our Mother's Day Eve cemetery and area litter pick. 34 sacks filled. We do this every year so cemetery visitors aren't met with litter on Mother's Day 💚 Keep Britain Tidy

I absolutely love this time of year in Oxford Gardens. This week the wildflower beds were cut by Green Sefton next week we will sow. Today the borders were weeded and watered. Please rain 🙏😆

Our next volunteer session in Oxford Gdns is tomorrow. 10am till 2pm. Work on our new bed to commemorate VE day 80th Anniversary is well under way. Still plenty to do tomorrow as the bed is still full of grass sods. Volunteers always welcome 🤗

4 hours volunteering today. It was a hard slog in this heat 😫 but we are nearing the finish line. 2 more sessions and we will have edged the entire path. Then just a case of keeping on top of it. Next volunteer session is Thursday 11am till 3pm. Oxford Gdns.

Despite the traffic (unusually busy today due to fans travelling to Anfield) this place is good for the soul. Oxford Gardens.

Weather is too unpredictable currently. Our planting session will still go ahead as we need this doing ASAP. Over 200 geraniums for the Victory in Europe flower bed. Time to be announced tomorow for planting on Saturday.

The Peonies are out in Oxford Gardens. Lots of different colours throughout the seasons. It's been hard work keeping the plants watered but worth the effort. If they make one person smile when passing that'll do us 🙂
