Sitting on the floor of a CrossCountry Trains train as no one would let me sit with them, their bags was far more important & the signs saying seats were available- it wasn’t. People had no qualms asking me to move seats. At least help me to find another seat. #Deafblind

Guess how many times I got a telephone appt & had to call them via VRS to request a F2F appt along with an apology for as it was clearly on my records as must have F2F appt with a BSL terp. FOUR TIMES- 4 letters, 4 calls, 4 apologies & finally a F2F appt. #DeafInNHS

I’m trying to understand why some ppl thought they could walk into 10 Downing St w/o security clearance & go ‘hey we have an terp for you!’ (I could be wrong). BBCNews24 provides interpreted news. Surely time & energy could be refocused somewhere else like better deaf healthcare?

Just had an hosp appt, due to the rescheduled dates, they forgot to rebook the terp… luckily I have the SignLive app as part of the DP I get.- appt done! NHS England really needs to provide Plan B (VRS) when Plan A (a terp hasn't been booked or other reasons) #DeafHealthcare

Not me trying to explain to my GP surgery that ‘booking’ an interpreter from a multi-language agency does not mean the agency has actually booked someone & the surgery DOES need to check before the appt that the booking was filled. Them: the interpreter has been booked. 🤦🏻‍♀️
