Our mental health matters, today and every day. This #EuropeanMentalHealthWeek, let us speak up, reach out to each other and make sure that everyone facing mental health challenges are not alone.

In the Conference on the Future of Europe, people told us how much they cared about mental health. And they are right. Because mental health is simply health. We listened. And today we act, with the first 🇪🇺 approach to mental health - from prevention to treatment and recovery.

I welcome today’s agreement between European Parliament and EU Council on a new system for fees payable to EU Medicines Agency. It better reflects the Agency’s key role in assessing the quality, safety and efficacy of 🇪🇺 medicines. ➡️Another important step towards a strong #HealthUnion.

In a strong #HealthUnion, every citizen must have access to the essential medicines they need at all times. We need a new 🇪🇺 approach to better tackle medicines shortages. The actions we put forward today aim to strengthen our medicines supply chains, now and for the future.

Today, we give a strong boost to address critical shortages of medicines & to guarantee security of supply. DG SANTE has tirelessly worked with MS and EMA to strengthen supply. This is also a major feature of the #EUPharmaStrategy. This is the #HealthUnion

The Council and European Parliament reached a balanced provisional agreement on the EHDS regulation. The European Health Data Space will support patient care and scientific research in the public interest and strengthen patients control over their personal electronic health data
