On Saturday I stopped by the Urban Dreams pre-winter community car check-up event. This is a great opportunity for our community and I appreciate all the sponsors who make this possible each year.

This weekend I stopped by an event in support of the Iowa Radio Reading Information Service (IRIS). This is an outstanding program to increase accessibility of news and information for people across the state, and I always appreciate the opportunity to volunteer and support them.

Last week I had the honor to participate in the @USmayors #MayorsDC24 meeting in Washington D.C. We had productive discussions on how we can work with our federal partners to improve infrastructure, secure funding, and invest in communities like Des Moines.
