Fore Street diversion from January 2nd.

Due to a last minute road closure Bob2 won’t stop at Cornworthy this afternoon. Apologies to anyone affected by this.

Due to an urgent road closure between Bow Bridge and Tuckenhay, Bob the Bus will not be able to get to Cornworthy tomorrow, Friday 10th January. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.

The bus will hopefully be able to get to Cornworthy next week but will only go as far a Priory View due to roadworks on the hill.

Unfortunately we need to use one of our older buses on the Bob1 Bridgetown route today and on the Bob2 Follaton route tomorrow afternoon. The bus is not suitable for wheelchairs and other mobility aids. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Former Bob driver and Trustee John Holl died recently at the age of 83. John served as a naval officer, before becoming a sheep farmer near Littlehempston. He was indefatigable in all he undertook, and threw himself into community life, notably St John’s church and Bob the Bus.

In 2021 (just before his 80th birthday), John completed an epic project to climb all 181 Dartmoor Tors. In doing so, he raised over £4,000 for Bob the Bus, and, typically, had fun in the process. He was a lovely man, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
