Sorry to read of Pat’s passing. Enjoyed discussing topics with him but sure disagreed on AGW. Libertarian politics got in the way of science

Tonight that bright object to the moon's left is the planet Jupiter. Moon is a bit over 1 second away, and Jupiter is more than 41 minutes away 🙂

Highest Full Moon of the year. Almost 80° high at midnight here around DC. How many 1$ bills end to end to reach the moon? How about that $1.7 Trillion in December spending bill? Next Tweet 🤑

Great Full Moon and great? recent $1.7 TRILLION spending bill. How far would 1.7 trillion $1 dollar bills end to end go? Too the Moon? Yes — Almost 700 times! Imagine a “ribbon” of $1 bills almost 150 feet wide from the stature of Alexander Hamilton at Treasury to the Moon.

What a save...A partly sunny day at a youth baseball game in Jacksonville, Fla., turned scary in an instant for a boy who got caught in a dust devil. A video shows a dust devil suddenly forming around the 7-year-old catcher as a pitch was heading to home plate on Saturday.

Down under for a spell — south of Earth’s equator. Not interested in observing which way the water circulates in anybody’s toilet bowl. But the revolving doors in Australia do, in fact, spin clockwise. Opposite from those in the USA.
