Terribly saddened to hear this news. Colin contributed so much to the sport and so many will have benefited from his time, effort, and support over the years. His presence trackside will be sorely missed.

We have now published an article that (1) comments on this paper specifically and (2) calls attention to important principles to consider when planning systematic reviews more generally in order to maximise impact for applied practice. doi.org/10.1037/spy000…

A new paper from us that critically explores application and implications of a constraints-led approach within an American football coaching context.

Just finished building an Ikea desk for our little guy’s bedroom and now I’m ready for some (American) football. #superbowl #eagles #latenight

A practical read: "A continuation of the status quo – where criticisms are not addressed or remain unacknowledged – is not in the interest of applied practitioners who will want to understand how, why, and when to either apply or avoid implicit methods." tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

Another publication from the DCU_Performance team Jamie Taylor @MAGreyMattersUK Rosie Collins. Hopefully it will be of use to coaches working with a range of athletes/participants in a range of contexts. frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…

Usual free copies. This one is us questionning the lpublicised paper that inks between Bruce Lee and EcoD. Rather similar to when we questioned the link between EcoD and American Football!! Enjoy tandfonline.com/eprint/VW2U5DV…

Wow. I’ve had to watch this a few times. Barkley got 10+ extra yards in this play via a series of manoeuvres that potentially no other player in the NFL would or could have performed (or maybe even imagined), including spinning and then hopping backwards over a defender.
