The Oil & Gas Decarbonization Charter signed by at least 50 Oil and Gas companies today at COP28 UAE, promises zero flaring of excess gas by 2030, almost zero methane emissions by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050. It’s a welcome progress towards decarbonisation of the industry

You may not like it and that’s fine, but he makes a logical case emphasising that the focus should be on emissions reduction to meet the climate goal. The debate on phasing out fossil fuel continues. We are halfway @COP28 UAE and the jury is out there! bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

The European Union just approved a law on Monday, May 27, 2024, requiring suppliers of oil and gas to the EU market to limit methane emissions to acceptable limits beginning in 2030. Africa is a major supplier and efforts to monitor our oil and gas processes will be paramount.

It was an honour to share a stage with some of the brilliant change makers on the continent. The vision and insights from each of the Afrocrats gives hope for the future of African innovators and entrepreneurs ready to face the challenges of a 21st century world. Yes Africa can!

The European Union passed a regulation in May 2024, imposing Methane Emissions Limit on oil and gas imports to the bloc by 2030, here’s the implication for African oil and gas producers.

🔥 Why LPG is Africa’s Shortcut to Clean Cooking Over 2.3 billion people still lack clean cooking solutions—and 40% are in Africa. Evidence shows LPG has delivered 90% of clean cooking access in Sub-Saharan Africa between 2018–2023. In this Op-Ed, Ocitti Bob Felix explains why

🌍 Today we look back at our recent High-Level Dialogue on Africa and the Energy Transition. The conversations made one thing clear: Africa cannot import a transition model — it must define its own. Justice, sovereignty, and unity must guide the path, while building alternatives
