Today in the MIT Technology Review, I explain why the Bank Secrecy Act, a Nixon-era law, is no longer fit for a modern era where nearly every financial transaction is trackable without a warrant. Our financial data is among the most sensitive personal information we produce.

One underrated feature of Miden is how easy "expiring transfers" are. A user can make a transfer, and if the other user does not accept it within, say a week, the sender can reclaim the tokens. No more permanently loosing funds in case of mistyped addresses. And of course, the

This is the result of two year of hard work ziskvm We are committed to prove Ethereum in real time Our Girona cluster (16×5090) delivers all requirements for real-time Ethereum proving: • 128-bit security target • <300 kB proof size • Post-quantum readiness • <10 kW

These expiring transfers are standard on Miden, but implementing them from scratch would take just a few lines of Rust code. Being able to write private smart contracts in simple Rust is another major unlock for Miden 🦀❤️

Filled with gratitude as I’m sitting at EZE getting ready to fly home. This was the best week Miden has ever had in terms of visibility. Media, panels, meetings. It felt like our real breakout moment. Privacy is finally getting its momentum. The road ahead is long, but I am

Last week, I got asked quite a few times what inspired Miden's design. The answer is that there wasn't a single source of inspiration but rather me trying to combine best parts (IMO) of projects I really liked/used/worked on. To name a few: - Bitcoin: Miden notes with

Finally got to record with Jacquelyn Melinek today for the Talking Tokens Podcast. I have been following her work for a while, since back when she first started at TechCrunch, and it was a privilege to join her. We tried to film in Buenos Aires last week but the timing didn’t

I'm super excited about this! I've known mandrigin.eth for some time now, and have been recently working with his team - amazing people, one of the most competent in the space. Together with Gateway FM we can really make sure that Miden is ready to scale for global adoption! 🚀

A couple weeks ago I wrote an article abt OpenZeppelin’s work w/ Miden on how to implement a PRIVATE MULTISIG. Devcon + life happened, so I’m only unpacking it now. Better late than never, amirite. General idea: • public chains = easy • private chains = lol good luck 😅

I would even say that in 5 years (or maybe even sooner) nobody will seriously consider deploying apps/protocols that don't have security against quantum computers. Not because quantum computers will be a threat at that time, but because everyone else will be switching to PQC.

There's much talk about Q-day, the future date when quantum computers become powerful enough to break some of today’s public-key cryptography—specifically RSA & elliptic-curve schemes. We do have good quantum-resistant cryptography, but when should we invest the work needed to

The v0.12 testnet has been running for over a week now, but with all the Devconnect hustle and bustle we just got around to publishing a blogpost about it. Lot's of great improvements here which bring us closer to mainnet. One very simple, but also very useful one is the new

Share your bank statement on X right now — I dare you. That’s basically what the next “EVM killer” is asking users to do. I’m tired of people pretending we’ll onboard the world to public crypto rails. If that’s your plan, you either lack a moral compass or you’re just chasing

Love this! Very similar to my own thoughts but articulated better than I ever could. We are here to change the world, not to create a new asset class worth a few trillion USD.
