I’m coming down with something, I’m tired, I’ve come shopping without a list, and this is the week Sainsbury’s have decided to rearrange the store. Pray for me.
Just a reminder to hobbyist OF creators that if you pause your payout this month you can get it a few days later in the new tax year and start using next year's tax free allowance 👀
A frequent response to this is "I don't care about people earning £100k".
This isn't about sympathy. It's about the impact on the UK economy of incentivising people to turn away work.
Shopping around for quotes is a faff. I've been quoted £600 for repainting my stairs/landing on the basis of 3 days work and I provide the paint. Does this feel sensible?
I feel like £200/day is reasonable but second opinions are welcome.
Give me a spreadsheet and I’ll convince you I’m a magician. Give me a screwdriver and you’ll wonder whether my IQ is medically adequate for independent living.
I've been a bit neglectful and haven't posted anything properly in a few weeks, but if you want to join the 120-odd other people who still enjoy watching me try and camouflage myself as a plasterer's radio, here's a little discount.
I ordered a made-to-measure blind recently from Next and the more I've lived with it the more I feel the quality just isn't there. The pattern isn't straight to the seam, so the joins are very obvious, and the bottom edge doesn't seem particularly well finished, either.
For 11+ years people asked me how I was comfortable in an open relationship because "what if one of you met someone else and got feelings?"
I've been single about a year and, trust me, the chances of that happening appear vanishingly slim. Have you MET people?! People are awful!
It would appear the mere mention of being single invites hoards of faceless accounts to DM and tell you that they want to date you. As I was saying, people are AWFUL.
