Optics day tomorrow! Drop by Waterston House in Aberlady between 10am and 3pm for expert advice on a wide range of binoculars, telescopes and tripods. This is a great opportunity to compare models and try them out under field conditions.

Another good event Waggonway Project last night. Joyce Miller speaking on Witches and Witchcraft in East Lothian - thought-provoking. And always good to catch-up with other #Waggonway supporters. #LocalHistory 1722waggonway.co.uk

Happy #NationalFastFoodDay! Did you know ancient Romans had their own version of fast food? Thermopolia were street-side stalls offering ready-to-eat meals like meats, olives, & even fried dough! Customers grabbed takeout in clay bowls—Pompeii had over 90! #Trimontium

Had some clearing up to do at Dirleton Castle this morning after Storm Eowyn. Plenty of small branches down. Our marquee for my replica medieval Man at Arms talks is in tatters. I've had to dismantle it. Fences bent down and back door blown off Greenhouse. #DirletonCastle #Eowyn
